New Band With a Legacy Name Plays Show at Cebar’s

LoConti is a new band in the local rock scene, and if you think the name sounds familiar, it’s not your imagination. The band’s leader, Henry Joesph LoConti, is the grandson of the legendary Henry LoConti who founded the Agora in the late 60s and owned the groundbreaking club until his death in 2014. So music runs in the family.

LoConti is the band’s singer, songwriter, lead guitarist and pianist. The recently formed band also includes vocalist/songwriter Erin Donovan, sax player Eric Sconyers, drummer Michael LoConti and bassist Ryler Pirc, and guitarist Jon-Anothony LoConti.

They’re planning on dropping their debut album Mount Royal Drive in the spring of 2023. In the meantime, you can preview their tune when they play this weekend at Cebar’s on East 185th in North Collinwood.
