Michael LoConti began his musical journey on the bass but soon found his rhythm behind the drum kit at the age of 11. A self-taught musician, he honed his skills and later became a key member of his high school marching band. Growing up, he spent countless hours jamming with his brother Henry in the basement of their childhood home, where he developed his distinctive style. Michael’s unique sound, richly influenced by Latin grooves, reggae, and hip-hop, contributed significantly to the foundation of LoConti in 2022. His passion for these diverse genres brings a vibrant and eclectic energy to the band, helping to shape its dynamic sound. Off stage, Michael makes homemade yogurt, works on his garden, and continues to explore his musical influences.
